The 3rd annual Delabole Wind Fair is being held at the Delabole Wind Farm on Saturday 18th August from 11am-6pm. It’s hosted by Good Energy, and entrance is completely free. There will be wind turbine tours, forums about generating electricity at home, lots of entertainment for kids and grown ups, plenty of local and organic food and drink, live music and – after the event – the spectacular turbine illumination.
The Wind Fair will also present the repowering exhibition. Good Energy is planning to replace the existing turbines in Delabole with a second generation of modern, more efficient wind turbines which will generate greater amounts of green electricity for many years to come. The exhibition at this year’s Wind Fair will display what the proposed wind farm will look like.
“We want to put people in touch with renewable energy and show them that they can help to secure Britain’s energy supply and become part of the solution to Climate Change. There is a serious message to the day but we want people to have fun too. So, come for the renewables and stay for the festivities!” Juliet Davenport, Good Energy CEO
