Earth Day celebrations 2007

Earth Day doesn’t seem to be quite such an event in the UK as it is in the rest of the world, although it really should be. There doesn’t seem to be an awful lot to report from this side of the pond, but here are just a couple of the initiatives coinciding with Earth Day in the US.

Mekanism teamed up with Venables Bell & Partners to help PG&E deliver green messages to their San Francisco customers in the letsgreenthiscity (www.letsgreenthiscity.com) crusade. Targeting the growing green conscious segment of the population, letsgreenthiscity.com delivers a green guide to help individuals in their personal efforts to support the environment. This interactive online user’s guide is introduced by a series of short films, each containing green facts and tips, produced in a way that entertains while engaging the viewer. Information courtesty of the Kiri Jewell Trust.

In celebration of Earth Day, MissionFish are excited to announce Spotlight on Saving Our Environment. This April and May, use eBay Giving Works to donate a percentage of your listings’ final sale prices to a nonprofit that is protecting and preserving our natural treasures. Your listings will appear on a branded microsite www.missionfish.org/environment specially designed to encourage shopping in support of this great cause. And, when your listing sells, it qualifies for the eBay Giving Works Fee Credit Policy! Thanks to Ashley Gatewood at MissionFish for this information.
