By far the coolest Valentine’s Day card that I’ve seen this year is this Carve Your Own Card kit from Nigel’s EcoStore. It’s a solid FSC certified wooden postcard ready for you to hand carve your own message of love. This is one Valentine’s Day card that will be remembered. Nigel recommends a good old fashioned heart pierced with Cupid’s arrow and decorated with the initials of yourself and the object of your affections. Or use your imagination and come up with something more original.
The “card” is soft and lightweight, so it’s easy to apply in your design (with keys or a pocket-knife) and easy to post.
This sort of card avoids the processing involved in making paper greetings cards. That’s good for the environment.
