So What’s Going On?
Mad* have got together a host of fabulous ethical companies offering
exciting products and services to help you green up your lifestyle.
Some leading ethical names will be there including ecological cleaning
experts Ecover; fair trade chocolate producers Divine Chocolate; and
purveyors of organic toiletries, The Green People.
Among the ethical big boys there will also be a wealth of smaller companies
with some really unique and funky ideas.
Seasalt Organic Cottons have recently launched the funkiest range of
beachwear we’ve ever seen – all made from organic cotton of course. The Fair
Deal Trading Company will be enticing sports enthusiasts with their fair
trade footballs, sports kits and trainers. Peter from Junkk.com can provide
you will all the advice and tips you need to reduce, reuse and recycle your
waste. Silverchilli offer a huge range of beautiful fair trade jewellery and
Green Tomato Cars can get you across town with their fleet of hybrid taxis!
And…?
Of course, we’ve invited your favourite magazines too – The Ecologist, New
Consumer, Wave Magazine, Green Futures, Positive News, Bulb Magazine and
others will all be there to inspire you.
There’s plenty more inspiration to be had in our theatre too. Peter Madden
from Forum for the Future will be kicking off the line-up of
business-related seminars on Friday. David Wilks, survivor of Dragon’s Den
knows more about water than anyone we’ve ever met and will be sharing his
knowledge and stories with us! Trevor Baylis, inventor of the wind-up radio,
will be appearing at various points over the weekend; and look out on Sunday
for leading environmentalist Zac Goldsmith who’s up for a bit of a debate!
The full line up of these and many more talks will be appearing on our
website very soon so keep an eye out.
So book now!
