If you’ve got to drive on vacation (sorry it looks like U.S. only for now) you can now choose to drive green.Hertz recently announced it has fuel-efficient vehicles available at over 50 major airports in the U.S. The car rental company’s website lists four models to choose from, three of which carry the Environmental Protection Agency’s Smart Way Certification indicating a lower emissions vehicle.
While it is unclear if the company has actually expanded its fleet or has perhaps simply assessed its current stock of cars and pulled out the top four most fuel efficient to bill as “green” it is a start and an indicator that the company is realizing that consumers are looking for enviro-friendly options.
