biggreenswitch.gifThe Big Green Switch says it’s easy to be green. You don’t have to sell your car or never leave this island to be considered green. You can make small changes that will make a big difference, and the Big Green Switch website shows you how. For starters, they encourage the small action of taking your own reusable bags when you go shopping, rather than using plastic bags. And then there are tips on energy saving, waste reduction, travel, water saving and going green in the home and at work. The message is that it is better to do a few small, simple things than to do nothing at all.

When you register at the Big Green Switch, you’ll have the opportunity to keep track of your progress with a ’switch list’ of actions, and you can report how you are getting on with a Big Green Switch blog too. You can add your own suggestions, and discuss green issues on the message boards. And there’s a chance to win £100 for completing a Big Green Survey.
