zoeball.jpgZoe Ball is going to be presenting an environmental television series. The prime-time week long series entitled Extinct will be aired on ITV in December, and will be co-presented by Zoe and Sir Trevor McDonald. It is thought that Extinct will be the first “carbon neutral” terrestrial TV series.

Zoe has revealed that she and husband Norman Cook are living a greener lifestyle since being invited to do the programme.

“We use energy-saving lightbulbs at home and we’ve got a compost bin, so our waste foodstuff goes in there.”

“We recycle like lunatics and we’ve been trying to buy vegetables and stuff from the local greengrocers and not from supermarkets, so you don’t get loads of packaging.”

“We haven’t gone quite as far as a compost toilet yet.”
