It’s been said that John Romano’s singing voice evokes Lou Reed, and that his new song “Green Girl”, that is doing well in the mainstream radio charts in the US, is reminiscent of some of Reed’s lighter work.

Laura Glendinning, VP of Avant Garde A Clue, Inc., the itunes label who have released Romano’s song believes it to be “the first song with ecological undertones to reach a mainstream chart”.

““I really believe in the green movement, I’m not talking about sabotaging SUVs, but cars running on corn oil is a fantastic development and in my opinion environment friendly and reusable fuels are the world’s only option moving forward. ” John Romano

John Romano’s song is another important milestone in bringing “green consciousness” out into the mainstream, and illustrating that you can be green and be “cool”.
