« What does Fairtrade mean? Plant trees and reduce landfill by recycling your Christmas cards »

car-crash.jpgI remember this option as one of the green features offered by CIS eco car insurance when they launched about 18 months ago, but their green insurance option seems to have disappeared, so Allianz Insurance may be right when they say they’re “the first in the UK to give motor policyholders the choice of using recycled parts in the repair of vehicles”. Well, perhaps not the first, but at the moment they do appear to be the only insurer offering this option. This alternative repair option saves an average of £240 on a £1,000 claim, which may mean that fewer cars are “written-off”, and will undoubtedly lower the carbon footprint of Allianz customers who choose to recycle.
