Across Europe towns and cities will be celebrating sustainable transport during European Mobility Week 16th - 22nd September 2005. This also incorporates International Car Free Day on the 22nd September. The theme for 2005 is ‘clever commuting’ and aims to highlight that reducing car commuting in favour of cycling, walking and using public transport does not necessarily require large investments, and has clear benefits to commuters, employers and the environment. To participate, find out whether your town or city is taking part here.
