Amazon.com are offering the Sunforce 12Volt 400Watt wind generator for US$799.99 with free shipping.
Apparently it requires no maintenance and is easy to install with just two moving parts. It is labelled as ideal for cottages, charging 12volt batteries, remote power, back-up power or for hobbyists.
The carbon fibre composite blades make for low wind noise, and the integrated regulator automatically shuts the turbine down when the battery is fully charged to avoid excess wear and tear.
Amazon are currently only selling this product in the US.
