Today marks the start of the 5th annual British Food Fortnight, a celebration of the diversity of locally produced food. Now, more than ever, we need to be looking at eating food that has been produced on our own shores, to prevent unnecessary foodmiles, bolster the local economy and protect our native food producers for the future. There are lots of events happening all over Britain and you can find them listed here. There is also information about what’s in season now and lots of recipes to try on the British Food Fortnight website.
