Hooray for the voice of sanity!I am one of those few that definitely doesn't have a drawerful of unworn clothes. Nor do hubby or son. I'll be the first to admit that this is because we fell on 'hard times' and as a consequence buy clothes (and other stuff) infrequently. (It's been about 18 months since I stepped into a high street clothes shop) It is usually the case that we go to Matalan's once a year to replace the teeshirts and jeans we've worn out. Sad, eh?
I wouldn't advocate this extremity to everyone, but I'll tell you what......it makes you realise how little you can get away with and you become pretty creative in mixing and matching!
I can hear all the sneery people with wardrobes full of 'must have' clothes saying, 'Oh well, if you had the money I bet you'd be in the town centre like a shot!' Well, that isn't the case. Because within the next couple of months we as a family will receive a small legacy. It would enable us to blow a substantial amount on clothes. But we've already decided......we don't need all that stuff. We'll happily replace what's worn and that's about it.
