Tonight is the start of the BBC’s Climate Chaos series of programmes, and first up is David Attenborough’s Are We Changing Planet Earth? It will air tonight on BBC One at 9pm.

Talking to Michael McCarthy for The Independent, Attenborough says:

” I was sceptical about climate change. I was cautious about crying wolf…

… But I’m no longer sceptical. Now I do not have any doubt at all. I think climate change is the major challenge facing the world…

…one of the things I don’t want to do is to look at my grandchildren and hear them say: “Grandfather, you knew it was happening - and you did nothing.”
