As Tracey Smith’s campaign for the 2nd annual Downshifting Week reaches its goal, she has launched the new 12 month Downshifting Planner to help us on our way in simplifying our lives to save money and the planet. You can download the calender and print it out to keep track of money saved and green ideas fulfilled.

National Downshifting Week runs from Saturday 22nd April to Friday 28th April 2006 and encourages the nation to slow down and green up. Tracey suggests small changes that you can make like cooking a meal from scratch using locally produced organic ingredients, cutting up a credit card, and many more. Tracey Smith is a finalist in the ITV Eco-Hero Awards and the winner will be announced next week, so keep an eye out for her on the ITV National News.

You’ll find ethical, organic, handmade and eco-friendly clothes and more at Leeds, UK based Everything But Beige. Their new online store is now open.

I-Recycle call themselves a compelling alternative to recycling. They offer a more eco-friendly way of dealing with your unwanted goods than sending them to landfill. Currently operating only in the UK, I-Recycle see global expansion as welcome and foreseeable.

Ecomatrix is offering FREE webhosting to eco-friendly websites. Their services will soon be up and running, so watch this space.

And last, but not least, this week Pueblito sell beautiful, unique pieces of jewellery made from naturally renewable, non-polluting materials. They are based in Toronto, Canada but will ship worldwide.
