In my opinion, Tony Blair is not doing a very good job at securing safe energy for future generations. There is still a possibility that he will be backing the pro-nuclear set and that Britain will end up dotted with lots of new toxic-waste producing nuclear power stations.
I’m almost certain that you could do a better job of finding the right mix for our country’s future energy needs. Have a go with the BBC’s electricity calculator.

Thanks to the hard-working EcoStreet pixies, we have a great new updated look.
Our new signature images are courtesy of talented eco-photographer Anna Hillman, whose work was featured on Treehugger last year.
Anna completed an Eco-Design degree at Goldsmith’s College, University of London in 2005 with her final project a book titled “Amazingness”, photography of urban London, showcasing the beauty of nature in urban spaces, helping us reconnect with our origins. We feel that Anna’s work captures the essence of EcoStreet.
To me, sustainable design is indistinguishable from good design; by that i mean that if a certain design has not taken into account ecological and environmental considerations, as well as social considerations, then it isn’t good design. - Anna Hillman
